Implementing Lean Construction: A Literature Study of Barriers, Enablers, and Implications

The challenges of adopting and implementing lean construction (LC) have led to substantial but isolated research studies concerning the relevant barriers, enablers, implications, which lack a comprehensive approach analytical as well conceptual perspectives. Hence, this study aims fill mentioned knowledge gap by identifying implications exploring their relatedness. A systematic literature review was carried out through 230 located were analyzed using thematic content analysis methods realize objectives study. findings suggest that awareness understanding LC, resistance change, support commitment from top management are three barriers toward LC adoption implementation, can be overcome identified among ones developing culture, application principles tools techniques, commitment.
